Description and history: Boomplay  is a music and audiovisual streaming and permanent download service available in certain African territories. The Service is a joint venture between (i) Transsion Holdings, the China-based manufacturer of TECNO mobile phones (one of the most popular mobile phone brands in Africa) and (ii) NetEase, a China-based technology company that amongst other things operates the Chinese streaming service, NetEase Cloud Music. The Boomplay service currently comes pre-installed on all TECNO mobile phones.
